In response to Russian Hacking in the Election President Obama has expelled 35 Russian “Diplomats” and imposed new sanctions on Russia.

The Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigation said today that Russian military and intelligence organizations hacked digital files belonging to the Democratic National Committee and continue to target U.S. entities.

Obama issued an executive order, amending his April 2015 decree to expand authorization for a response to certain cyber activity that seeks to interfere with or undermine U.S. election processes and institutions.

The president said that the State Department is also shutting down two Russian compounds, in Maryland and New York, used by Russian personnel for intelligence-related purposes, and has ordered 35 Russian intelligence operatives to leave the U.S. within 72 hours.

State Department deputy spokesman Mark Toner wrote in a statement that "the Russian government has impeded our diplomatic operations by, among other actions: forcing the closure of 28 American corners which hosted cultural programs and English-language teaching; blocking our efforts to begin the construction of a new, safer facility for our Consulate General in St. Petersburg; and rejecting requests to improve perimeter security at the current, outdated facility in St. Petersburg."

"Today’s actions send a clear message that such behavior is unacceptable and will have consequences," Toner added.

“These cyber operations have included spearphishing campaigns targeting government organizations, critical infrastructure entities, think tanks, universities, political organizations and corporations leading to the theft of information," according to a report issued by the DHS and FBI. "In foreign countries, [Russian] actors conducted damaging and/or disruptive cyber-attacks, including attacks on critical infrastructure networks. In some cases, [Russian] actors masqueraded as third parties, hiding behind false online personas designed to cause the victim to misattribute the source of the attack.”

Obama warned that today’s actions will not be the full extent of his administration’s response to Russia’s interference in the election, which several Democrats blame for Hillary Clinton’s loss to Donald Trump.

“We will continue to take a variety of actions at a time and place of our choosing, some of which will not be publicized,” Obama promised. “In addition to holding Russia accountable for what it has done, the United States and friends and allies around the world must work together to oppose Russia’s efforts to undermine established international norms of behavior, and interfere with democratic governance.”

A 12,000-member megachurch in Britain lost the equivalence of $4.8 million in charitable funds after trustees carelessly invested money in what later turned out to be a ponzi scheme headed by a former Premier League soccer player. The Scheme Promising 55 Percent Return in 1 Year

According to an inquiry report published last week by the Charity Commission for England and Wales, the Kent-based Kingsway International Christian Centre came away with a net loss of about $4.8 million (£3.9 million) after its trustees forked over a total of $6.1 million (£5 million) in four installments between June 2009 and June 2010 to a former trustee who guaranteed that the investments would earn a sizable return totaling about 55 percent in a year.

Although the commission's report does not name names, The Telegraph reports that the person who the church trustees handed the money to was Richard Rufus, a former defender for the Charlton Athletic Football Club who was also a former minister and trustee at the church.

Last year, a judge found that Rufus had conned about 100 investors out of a total of $10,731,159 (£8,682,343) in the £16-million investing scheme with Kingsway International Christian Centre being the single largest investor.

According to the commission's report, the church's trustees handed over an initial investment and entered into an agreement in which they were guaranteed that investment would earn a profit of about 5 percent per month, with the exception of August and December when they were guaranteed profits of about 2.5 percent.

"The inquiry established that in practice, however, the investments resulted in a net loss of £3.9 million to the charity," the report explains.

The report states that the church's trustees who handed over the funds were guilty of "mismanagement."

The veteran actor escaped death in Ibadan, recently, on his way home from a movie set.
According to reports, it was only by the saving hands of God that the car did not overturn into the swampy ditch on the road. His car was said to be literarily hanging by a thread at the edge of the death trap.

In a season of sudden and murderous death, the birth of Christ reveals how God so loves each and every one of us that He sent His only Son to take up all human sorrows and pains on the Cross and transform it into eternal life in the Resurrection. The message of Christmas is the triumph of life, goodness, and love over death, evil, and hate.

The true message of Christmas is that Eternal God came to earth in the form of man in order to save His own creation.

It was necessary because fallen man is mired in sin, and there is no remission of sin without the shedding of blood. Hallelujah.

In order to show that this tiny babe in swaddling clothes came for a purpose, the manger and the cross must be seen together.

He came to die for your sins, my sins, and for the sins of the whole world.

The small infant’s hands that were later nailed to a rugged wooden cross are the hands that so often lovingly reach down and pick us up during the difficulties Of life

The One we see in the manger is fully God who came to earth to die so that you and I could have forgiveness of our sins, so that we would receive the greatest gift of all.

2 Corinthians 2:15: "Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift."

Speaking at the flag off of the Special End of Year 2016 Patrol in Makurdi, the FRSC boss said; “losses from tanker crashes have been estimated to be causing the nation about N7billion annually.”

Represented by Assistant Corps Marshal Julius Asom, the Corps Marshal noted that the campaign against carnage on Nigerian roads required the support and collaboration of all stakeholders in the country hence the campaign.

Oyeyemi had recently declared war on reckless drivers, saying such drivers were responsible for about 40 per cent of deaths of officials of the FRSC in active duty.

He added that at least 70 operatives of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) commission were killed by reckless drivers this year.

“I have been raising this alarm since last year that we are experiencing increase in violence among drivers and lawlessness. “Losing 70 personnel is not a joke, may their souls rest in peace.

“It is sad to note that some killing and maiming of operatives, including those from sister agencies is very worrisome, he lamented.

A lot of indiscipline appears to be rampant these days, acts that are disgusting and embarrassing are displayed especially amongst the youths. It makes one wonder if parents still see parenting as their responsibility or is it the duty of the school?

Beloved parents, what sort of child are you raising? Are you raising an individual that would see punctuality as the essence of life or one that would be non-chalant about it? Would your child as an adult see call to duty as self-less service to humanity or would it be a means to enrich himself? Are you raising a child that would be a tyrant, one who would emotionally and physically batter the lives of his wife and children? Would your child grow to be an organized individual one who knows the importance of prioritizing? Whatever you aspire your child to be in future, begin now to direct him or her towards that path.

Parenting goes beyond the science of copulating and birthing babies. That explains why some parents abandon their children.

It is a tasky venture, one which requires constant supervision, patience, love, wisdom, vigilance, strength and emotional balance. No child is born with its mind filled with a sense of purpose, direction and knowledge, it takes parenting to fill it up. No wonder a baby’s brain is often referred to, as being a tabula rasa.

A child is foremostly influenced by the home, under normal circumstances, one which is managed by adults. Unfortunately, in recent times, children are negatively influenced by those who should be parenting them. Often times, parents shy away from disciplining their children by indulging in them for fear of being labelled harsh or abusive. They forget that had they not been thoroughly raised by their own parents, there would be no luxuries to offer their children. Parents, should live up to their responsibility, they should stop acting as their children’s buddies by treating them as equals. In reality, there is nothing equal about a ten year old and a thirty year old. In the words of Zig Ziglar, the author of Raising Positive Kids In A Negative World, the obvious question is: if you become a pal to your child, when the need arises for you to discipline, instruct or require certain conduct and performance from your child, why should he obey a pal’s orders? After all, you are equal.

What then is discipline? According to Longman Advanced Learner’s Dictionary, discipline means a way of training someone so that they learn to control their behaviour and obey rules. Unfortunately, the word discipline is often misconstrued to mean punishment or something done for a child while punishment is often done to a child. As such, values should be inculcated in children, one of such is respect. This should be enforced at home, children should be taught respect for constituted authority, respect for their creator, respect for elders, respect for the laws of the land, respect for an individual’s privacy, respect for property as well as respect for rules and regulations. Parents can make this effective by teaching them how to pray to the Supreme Being and as much as possible they too should be seen praying by their children. This is because when parents honour God, their children will certainly honour them.

Another important value that should be taught is humility. Most parents get carried away by their success in life and talk brashly to their subordinates at work, their domestic staff and their neighbours while their children sit by the corner and absorb this offensive act of arrogance. Parents should teach their children the four magical words: “please”, “I am sorry”, “Excuse me” and “Thank you”. They should also be encouraged to use them regularly. They should be made to know that being successful is a privilege and as such does not demand one having airs. Parents should as much as possible treat every human being well and not shabbily, they should instill the act of exchanging greetings in their children. One key thing to note is that the motto most children observe is “Do as I do and not do as I say”.

Parents, teach your children to be organized, commence this training when they are still toddlers. Children should be told to put away their toys in a box after playing instead of littering them all over the place. As they mature and become junior school students, they should be taught how to get themselves prepared for school the next day. For instance, note books for the following day should be sorted out in the evening with the subject time table and on the eve of tests or examinations the child should be encouraged to have functional writing materials.

Don’t forget to tutor your child to be independent. Most parents often deceive their children when they say to them “I will always be there for you”. Let’s be realistic, what if something tragic happens to you tomorrow? In as much as we don’t pray for such, we should train our children to be street savvy.

The question now is, when can training a child to be disciplined commence? As early as six months, don’t wait till your child is three or six years.

Beloved parents, let’s raise disciplined children who would one day become disciplined leaders.

Nigerian soldiers have raided Boko Haram’s “last enclave” in Sambisa forest, and the insurgents have finally been crushed, President Muhammadu Buhari said on Saturday.

The president said in a statement that he was “most proud” to receive the “long-awaited and most gratifying news of the final crushing of Boko Haram terrorists”. “I want to use this opportunity to commend the determination, courage and resilience of troops of Operation Lafiya Dole at finally entering and crushing the remnants of the Boko Haram insurgents at ‘Camp Zero’, which is located deep within the heart of Sambisa Forest,” the president said.

He said he was told by the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, that the camp fell at about 1:35p.m. on Friday.

Read the President's full statement below:

GOODWILL MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI TO TROOPS OF OPERATION LAFIYA DOLE ON THE SUCCESSFUL CAPTURE OF BOKO HARAM ENCLAVE IN SAMBISA FOREST

I am delighted at, and most proud of the gallant troops of the Nigerian Army, on receipt of the long-awaited and most gratifying news of the final crushing of Boko Haram terrorists in their last enclave in Sambisa Forest.

I want to use this opportunity to commend the determination, courage and resilience of troops of Operation Lafiya Dole at finally entering and crushing the remnants of the Boko Haram insurgents at “Camp Zero”, which is located deep within the heart of Sambisa Forest.

I was told by the Chief of Army Staff that the Camp fell at about 1:35pm on Friday, December 22, and that the terrorists are on the run, and no longer have a place to hide. I urge you to maintain the tempo by pursuing them and bringing them to justice.

I, therefore, call on all Nigerians to cooperate and support the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security agencies by providing useful information that will expose all the terrorists hiding among the populace.

Further efforts should be intensified to locate and free our remaining Chibok girls still in captivity. May God be with them.

•In 2007, I was earning as much as N200,000

•I started my blog as a prank. I did not start my blog because I wanted to make money.
• I was single and I was a big girl.

Nigerian blogger Laila Ijeoma,  has said that she started her blog as a prank. The owner of Laila's blog is a mother, a banker and she enjoys quite a large followership online.
In an exclusive interview with Ademola Olonilua, of Saturday Punch, Laila, shared how she started her blog.

When was Laila's blog created?

I actually started blogging in 2012. Lailasblog.com was birthed January 2013

What drew your attention to blogging?

I have always been a science student in school and I never knew anything about blogging in my life. When I finished school, I just wanted an outlet where I could share experiences with people and because of that, I started a Facebook page called, 'True love for my man.' That was the first social media account I used to gather people together and we spoke about love and heartbreak. The Facebook page grew because a lot of my friends joined.

I still wanted more, so I told a friend that I had the desire to run a television show and she told me to visit a radio station instead. I listened to her advice, visited a radio station and they gave me air time to do a show about money because I also work in a bank.

I had to cancel the show because it was not easy running the show alongside being a mother, a wife and a banker. All this while, I was still holding on to the passion of growing a community of like minds.
AOne day, I stumbled on one of my colleagues' blog at work and I asked him questions about how it works. He showed me how to run a blog and from there, I began to visit other blogs. I was so intrigued and I told my colleague that day in the office that I wanted to start my own blog. He helped me create the blog, I began blogging and ever since then, I have had so much fun. I did not start it because I needed money, I was gainfully employed. When I started and began to read people's comments, I knew this is what I had been looking for all this while.

How were you able to combine being a blogger, a wife, mother and a banker?
It is crazy and quite difficult to explain it. I spend every free second I have on my blog. I started waking up as early as 3am to blog and the beautiful thing about blogging is that you can schedule your posts, so even when you are not online, the post would still be uploaded on the blog.

That helped me a lot.
During my break hours, I would rush home, find out what is happening around the world and begin to blog then I rush back to the office after that. Then once it is 4pm, I quickly round off my work and by 6pm, I am back home sitting in front of my computer, blogging till about 12am when I go to bed. That is how I have been living my life because I am still working for the bank.

It has to do with passion. When you want to succeed, as bad as you want to breathe, then you would be successful. You would not even see obstacles. My passion has been a driving force.
Also, I have a supportive home and a husband who is very caring. I have a husband who helps out a lot at home and even on the blog and I am very grateful. In fact, my kids even know that their mother is a blogger. My family understand that I have two jobs and they all come together to help me. They help out with whatever they can and this reduces the burden.

What has been your most controversial post so far?
When Toke Makinwa got married, I broke the story but I don't think that was controversial. Once in a while, I have had issues with some celebrities and some other people. Also during the Olamide versus Don Jazzy feud, I broke the story that it was Dangote that brought them back together and Olamide prostrated to Don Jazzy. The story actually went viral.

But have you posted any story that got you into trouble?
I think one that almost got me into trouble involved the wife of the son of a very top Nigerian pastor. This top and highly revered pastor's daughter-in-law posted her bikini picture on her Instagram page and when I saw it, I uploaded it on my blog.

Of course, I knew it would generate some controversies but I uploaded it though later took it down after I had a change of heart. But unfortunately, other blogs had already picked it. Later I got a letter from the lady that I published her picture without her permission. It was on public domain.

Have you ever gotten letter from lawyers or threat messages based on what you post on your blog?
Yes I have and I am trying to remember them. The latest one was with Toni Payne. I don't know if it should be on print because these are issues I have resolved. During the Toni Payne saga, she threatened me and told me that she could circulate a false story about my husband.

When I became very serious with my blog, I had to get a writer to assist me. Right now, I have two writers that assist me. They help me post some stories when I am preoccupied with some other things.

That very day, one of my writers stumbled on a post on Instagram, someone used a parody account and the name of the account was Thoni Payne. The person blasted Wizkid and my writer thought it was Toni Payne. So when my writer was uploading it on my blog, she credited the statement to Toni Payne.

However, immediately she did it and realized her mistake, the post was removed. All that time, I was at work and was not aware of all that was happening.

It was when I got back home and I was going through my emails that I saw a message from Toni where she was abusing me. She had already sent a mail to my in-laws and my husband. She was able to get them by tracing through my social media accounts. She told my in-laws that I was tarnishing people's image on my blog and they should warn me to take down the story. I did not know she had sent a mail before that one.

Then I replied her asking what the problem was in a very nice manner. It was at that point I scrolled down my mail and saw the first e-mail she sent me where she wrote that I posted false news about her and I must apologize or she would instruct her lawyers to write me, then she attached the link of the story with the e-mail.

I went to my blog and realized the post had been deleted, so I called my writer and she informed me of what happened. Toni Payne was insisting that I apologize and I told her that I didn't need to be told that she deserved one.

I own the blog and accepted full responsibility for what happened. Then I put up a retraction. Toni even sent me a picture of my husband to make me understand that she did her job well. When she did that, I had to ask if she was threatening me. She said that she was not going to do anything like that but she added that one day I would get a dose of my medicine.

I was very shocked when she said that. She said I had been writing so many evil stories about her and that I was after her downfall. Which I am not.

How do you handle negative criticism?
I am somebody that apologizes when I am wrong; we all make mistakes once in a while. Even CNN and Daily Mail which I love a lot make mistakes. I post the news and I never blackmail. If I am wrong, I would always apologize but if you accuse me wrongly, I leave it to God because the person is not worth my stress.

At what point did you start making money from your blog?
I was consistent in my work and in 2014, a particular company did an advert with me for a full year and it was worth it.

For someone not based in Lagos, how do you get fresh news?
One good thing about blogging is that you don't have to be in Lagos but you have to be there to attend business meetings. You can blog from anywhere and you can get fresh news anywhere as long as you have the right sources, friends and connections. Sometimes strangers send me stories because they like my blog. They say things like they want me to be the first to break the story. That is how I get most of my stories.

When you created your blog, did you know you would become popular?
No, I did not. I started my blog as a prank. I did not start my blog because I wanted to make money. In 2007, I was earning as much as N200,000, I was single and I was a big girl. It was not about money at all. I started blogging as a prank; I even used a fake picture on my blog's profile. It was along the line that I realized that I enjoy it. I love blogging. I did not realize that the blog would take me to where I am today.

Do you wish you were as popular in reality as you are on the internet?
May God not let bad thing happen. When you get popular, you are exposed to a lot of things. Even the people that are with you can sell you out. Most of the stories that we post were given to us by inside sources. It is people around celebrities that give the stories to bloggers. I don't think I am ready for such popularity. I like things the way they are.

You were recently nominated for an award in Dubai, what was it about?
It is the Pan African Humanitarian Award in partnership with the Economic Community for West African States and World Leaders Forum, Dubai, and I was nominated in the category of the most promising blogger of the year. I was very excited when I got the mail because it is the first international nomination that I would have. I also feel very honored and humbled.

1
The singular scandal of her crashed marriage is the inspiration behind her first self-penned book.

2
The 14 chapters of her debut book titled ‘On Becoming’ which was published by Farafina, is a journey into her soul. It portrays Toke like you have never seen her before.

According to Toke, the book is about that shame that society puts on you when things are not going the standard that society wants things to be. Toke wants people to know that  a lot of people are scared of others seeing that all is not perfect with them which is a sign of weakness. But being vulnerable is strength. It’s much stronger to be vulnerable than silent, than trying to hide it.

4
The book is one of the biggest projects she has ever done. Each chapter is different from the other. It’s a whole new process for her.

5
Contrary to public opinion that her recent endeavor is an ambitious effort to put the spotlight on herself and perhaps reap cash benefits, Toke revealed that writing a book was never part of her plan. It was reserved for her retirement from the media.

6
She wants young people to draw many lessons from her life. She wants those who are looking up to her and those who are coming, to look at her and say if she did this, they can do that as well.

7
Toke thinks it’s a wrong perspective to look at someone else’s journey and project that for yourself. She thinks that’s one of the mistakes young people out there make. That’s why there are lots of frustrated people and that’s why people don’t support each other as they should.

8
When her confidence was nearly swayed, she reached into herself. The incident taught her that there’s a voice that speaks to her from the inside. An inner voice. Toke found out that she is a person who likes to focus on her goals. She does not dwell too much on the noise out there or the things that are being said. According to her, she’s grounded in her faith and prays about everything. People misunderstanding her doesn’t put any pressure on her. She’s more pressured by her own goals.

9
In all the confusion, pain and shame, and all the things that had happened to her at that point, she started to document how she felt. Some days when she felt good, she would write. She was her own shrink. Eventually, it became a lot of voice notes.

10
The book ‘On Becoming’ is all about inspiration. It’s about telling young people not to give up on anything and to constantly push themselves. Accept what God has given to you. Look for what is in your hands and work with it.

What’s the latest?
Just yesterday, Toke said yes to an instagram proposal from fellow OAP Sensei Uche of City FM.

The players of Nigeria’s senior women’s national team, the Super Falcons, were said to be staging a protest at the gates of the National Assembly to press for the payment of their unpaid bonuses and allowances.

The new strategy by the protesting Falcons players is to directly get the attention of Nigeria president, Muhammadu Buhari.

According to Premiumtimes report, President Buhari is due at the National Assembly today to present the 2017 budget before the legislature, and will address both chambers of the assembly – the Senate and House of Representatives. The female footballers plan to continue their protest till the president arrives.

Since two weekends ago when they won the 2016 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations, the players have been holed up in a hotel in Abuja to protest unpaid entitlements by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF

That has not yielded the result they wanted, hence the decision for a protest at NASS.

While each of the Falcons players are owed as must $16,500 for winning the tournament in Cameroon, they have only been paid a total sum of N600, 000 each (approximately $1, 900), which is a far cry of what is due.

Aside bonuses that accrue from winning the 2016 AWCON, reports says, the players are also owed bonuses and allowances from the qualifiers leading up to the AWCON.

Before now, the NFF and the sports ministry have made several promises to offset the bills, but they failed to keep their words, prompting the team to continue their protest in Abuja.

A retiree of a milk producing company in Lagos, Roy Davies, has comitted suicide two days after a treatment on his left eye went awry.

Davies, who lived on Oyegbemi Street, Amukoko, Lagos State, reportedly took substance suspected to be Sniper – an insecticide – in the early hours of Saturday.

Punch Metro learnt that the 54-year-old man had gone for an eye treatment at a centre on Adeola Odeku Street, Victoria Island, on Thursday in company with a friend identified as Edet.

After the treatment, he could not reportedly see with the eye again. He was said to have been discharged from the centre on Friday.

The deceased’s only child, Nancy, told our correspondent, who visited the residence on Tuesday, that her father had called her on the telephone last Monday that she would accompany him to the centre.

Nancy, a primary school teacher, resides in Ajah, while the father lived alone.

“On Tuesday, December 5, I called to tell him that I would come to his house in the evening of the next day so I could go with him to the centre on Thursday. But he said a friend of his called Edet, would follow him there and that I should not come again. He didn’t tell me the name of the centre. He just said it was on Adeola Odeku Street. I don’t know the friend,” Nancy said.

The 22-year-old woman stated that her father complained of pains and loss of vision when she called him on Thursday to know his condition.

Nancy said she was shocked when Davies told her it would take months before he could regain his vision.

She said, “He said a bandage was put on his left eye after the treatment and that the doctor told him it would take six months before he could see properly. He said he was in pains and needed my prayer. I prayed for him. When I got to the school where I teach on Friday, I also asked my pupils to help me pray for him.

“While I was washing clothes on Saturday, my husband approached me and said, ‘The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away.’ I asked him to tell me what happened. He said my father had killed himself.”

She said her father’s death might not be unconnected with the complication arising from the eye treatment, adding that her father did not lack funds.

“After he retired at Dana Milk Company as a driver, he started driving an Indian. The company had paid his pension since last year. My mother was not with him. She lived in Ikorodu,” she added.

A neighbour, who wanted to be anonymous, said he heard Davies shout around 6am on the day he took the poison.

“I was still on the bed that time. A few minutes after, he went into a coma. He died before we could get him out of his room,” he said.

A relative of the deceased, who identified himself only as John, said he had yet to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident.

He said, “I am not aware that he went for the eye treatment. It was on Saturday when he died that I got to know from her daughter. I am still disturbed about what actually led him to kill himself.”

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, said Davies’ corpse was taken to the Ajeromi General Hospital’s morgue for autopsy.

“The man allegedly drank a liquid substance suspected to be Sniper insecticide and locked up himself in his room. He died before help could reach him. The scene of crime was visited and photographed by detectives. Investigation is ongoing,” the PPRO said

Modenine_Vector
It’s no news that when you mention rappers in Nigeria that have remained true to the calling without swaying to singing like other rappers have done, then you have to give it to these guys. They have stood firmly to the game and have always represented the true esence of hiphop and rap culture.

Vector is one rapper who is so skillful with words and his lyrics sometimes sounds like sweet poem to the ears. His dexterity with words and pun has made him a force in rap music in Nigeria. There is hardly any rapper in Nigeria except from Modenine who can stand him in a rap battle. Those who have tried it by releasing beef tracks have themselves to blame. You can’t fully digest and comprehend his songs just be listening to it once, you have to listen to it over again to crasps and decode the message underline in the lyrics.
Vector

Vector has won the award for Lyricist On The Roll twice at HEADIES in 2012 and 2015. He was nominated in 2011 for thesame award but he didn’t win. Vector has been dominating the Nigerian Hip Hop scene since his emergence in 2010 and he is still growing stronger with his 3rd studio album “Lafiaji” to be released next week, 20th of December, 2016, we can only anticipate the best.
modenine

The name Modenine resonates undiluted Hiphop and when I mean Hiphop I mean hardcore Hip Hop. Modenine is in a world of his own in which no other rapper in Nigeria can come close to, in terms of his rap prowess. His ingenuity with dissecting words and breathing life to it is astounding. He is arguably the only Nigerian rapper who has stucked to hardcore rap music.

Modenine needs no introduction in the Hip Hop world. His works speaks for him even though he is not appreciated in his country but true Hip Hop heads all over the world know he is a rear gem whose input in rap music can’t be overemphasized. For those who don’t know, Modenine has won the Lyriscist On The Roll award at HEADIES seven times more than any other rapper till date. Five times more than his closest rival, Vector. Modenine has released 4 albums, 4 featured albums and 5 mixtapes till date. His achievements is way bigger than any hiphop artistes in Nigeria.

Vector and Modenine are two Hiphop ambassadors who are representing the true essence of rap music. But not withstanding there is always a King. Who truly deserves to be crowned Nigerian Lyricist of all time, Vector or Modenine? Share your thoughts below and we might just be able to find the winner from your comments.

Senator Shehu Sani (APC, Kaduna Central) on Friday described his quarrel with Governor Nasir el-Rufai as normal in a democracy.

Sani spoke to State House reporters after he and Senate President Bukola Saraki met behind closed-doors with President Muhammadu Buhari.

Sani said: "It's a normal thing. You can be siamese twins and then you may engage in combat. You can also be twins and then you engage yourselves in disagreement and you can also be from the same house or family or same room but still disagree with each other. I think it's a normal thing in democracy to disagree."

He dismissed his reported suspension from the All Progressives Congress, saying "I cannot be suspended. I'm unsuspendable, if there is any word like that. I remain a member of my party. If you simply feel uncomfortable with my words, all you can do is to simply put some cotton on your ears so that it can block it and if you're not comfortable with seeing me physically, you simply need to use sunglasses.

Students in boarding secondary schools in Kaduna State will now each be fed at a cost of N300 per day. This follows approval by the Kaduna State Executive Council that the allocation per student be increased N180 to N300 per day. This will cost the government N2.25bn every school year to feed 27,501 students.

The government took the decision to increase the feeding allocation after noting the hike in the prices of foodstuff across the country. A market survey conducted by the Kaduna State Bureau of Statistics between June and September 2016 revealed that there has been a 30% to 40% increase in the prices of food stuff.

This is the second upward review of the feeding allocation this year. In January2016, the Kaduna State Government,in trying to improve the quality of meals given to students in the state boarding schools, had approved N60 per meal as against the N44 per meal that was budgeted in the past. This N60 per meal was piloted in six schools, whose feeding was outsourced to private caterers. Following the significant improvement in the quality of the meals, the scheme will now be applied to all the 31 boarding schools owned by the state government.

This decision means that each student will be fed at N100 per meal, up from the previous N60. Professor Jonathan Nok, the Commissioner of Education, said that “the goal is to ensure that students get the adequate nutrition they need to boost their intellectual capability, stimulate healthy growth andensure they get a well-rounded education”.

Feeding for students in the Junior Secondary Schools in Kaduna State is free, in line with the nine-year free education policy of the present administration. But the Senior Secondary Schools are not yet fully free. Parents and the State Government share the cost of feeding.

Kim And Kanye (time.com)
OMG! In the wake of the violent robbery Kim suffered in Paris and Kanye's recent mental breakdown, it was obvious that Kimye was in dire straits. But a divorce?

Kim is apparently the one pushing for the divorce, according to a source described as a "friend" of the Kardashian superstar. The source tells Us Weekly that Kim is also building a case to gain full custody of both of her children with Kanye, their three-year-old daughter North as well as their son Saint, who celebrated his 1st birthday on Monday (Dec. 5).

"It will take some time before she can do anything," says the source, "but she doesn't want to stay married." The report goes on to say that while Kim is being supportive of Kanye amid his mental suffering, she apparently does not want him to be around their children. Her friend states that though Kim still cares about Kanye, she has "felt trapped for a while."

Earlier this week, it was reported that Kim and Kanye had not been living together after Kanye's release from the hospital.
