I was scrolling through Facebook when I stumbled on this post about blogger Laila Ijeoma, owner of www.Lailasblog.com

This was so touching and very, very commendable. I'm amazed!!! This woman has three children of her own, yet she added six more children to herself making them 9! What a woman! May God bless her!!

The post shared on Facebook reads:

Ijeoma is a woman with a heart of gold. Sponsoring six kids on scholarship in a reputable private school in Ogoja. Doesn't know them and not related to them in any way.

She only knew about their story and took up the challenge of catering for them. With the support of her dear husband, these kids are adequately catered for. Education, clothing, feeding, school supplies and medical care for six children and still counting....

The amazing thing is that they have their own lovely kids so its not because they are childless!

This is her first meeting with the kids in their school and it was a moment of joy as she kept telling them how much she loves them.

Of course you could see the kids beaming with smiles as they meet their sponsor for the first time.
What a moment!
What can we say!
Ijeoma, God bless you richly.

'Obasanjo makes order for Made-in-Aba Shoes

Former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has made an order for Made in Aba shoes.

General Obasanjo (Rtd) made the order through the Chief Marketing Officer of Made-in-Aba Product, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu during the 2016 Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Forum in Lagos.

While making his speech at the event, the Abia State Governor stated that Aba remains the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) capital of Nigeria, where young Nigerians are engaged in the business of making of shoes, clothing and other products.

The Governor added that a firm that has an order to supply up to 50,000 military boots is currently in Aba, where Aba shoemakers are making the production.

"I am happy to announce here that Aba which is the commercial nerve centre of the Abia State and Old Eastern Region of Nigeria, is also the SME capital of Nigeria, where young people are in the business of making shoes, bags and clothes, including the one I am wearing.

"Let me also announce here that a private firm, that has an order to supply 50,000 military boots is currently in Aba, where our shoemakers are in production for the firm"

Speaking as one of the panelist at the forum, Obasanjo said to Governor Ikpeazu: "Governor, I listened to you and I commend you for what you're doing in Abia. Please keep doing what you've told us you're doing.

"So, Governor Abia, you have to send a pair of the shoes to me, I use size 42." Ibadan no said'

Africa’s foremost businessman and multi-billionaire investor, Dr. Mike Adenuga Jr, was on Saturday conferred with Ghana’s highest civil award, the Companion of the Star of Ghana (CSG), SIGNAL can report.

Ghanaian President, Mr John Dramani Mahama, conferred the award on the Globacom Chairman on Saturday, October 29, at the International Conference Centre, Accra, Ghana.

President Mahama said Dr Adenuga was being honoured in recognition of his “unique and outstanding contribution to business enterprise both in Ghana and the continent of Africa at large.”

“Through your creative business exertions, you have touched many lives in Ghana. You have provided employment for our teeming youth, artists, footballers and many more. I am particularly proud of you. This award is our way of saying a simple Thank You,” the President stated.

The citation on Dr Adenuga commended his “transformational achievements in the telecommunications industry”, chief of which was the laying of the Glo 1 optic fibre cable linking several African countries including Ghana with Europe and America.

President Mahama equally commended Dr Adenuga’s contribution to telecommunications in Ghana since Glo Mobile’s launch and lauded the huge investment in the project.

The President noted that Dr Adenuga’s investment decisions and his persistent and affirmative support for sports have earned him honours all over Africa. He noted that this was one of the strong reasons that recommended Dr Adenuga for Ghana’s highest civilian honour.

Dr Adenuga, in his acceptance remarks, noted that President Mahama’s “recognition and support of my modest contributions to the development of Ghana’s economy have come as a great source of pride and encouragement to me. This is more so as it is coming from Your Excellency, whose sterling qualities of leadership I admire greatly”.

Dr. Adenuga’s Glo Mobile is a leading telecommunication services provider in Ghana. Besides providing direct and indirect employment opportunities to thousands of Ghanaians, Glo Mobile Ghana has, since launch in 2012, been the pacesetter in innovation, excellent service delivery and consumer loyalty reward in the country’s telecom market, particularly in the data segment.

The company's international submarine cable, Glo 1, which landed in Accra in 2009 also opened up a whole vista of unprecedented opportunities for businesses, government institutions and individuals in the country by giving them much better access to more affordable broadband.

Glo Mobile also played a major role in developing Ghanaian football through the sponsorship of the country’s national teams, the domestic football league and the football supporters’ club. The sponsorship lasted for several years.

Back in Nigeria, Dr. Adenuga was in 2012 conferred with the award of Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON) by the Federal Government. GCON is the highest honour for a civilian who is not in government in the country.

The Federal Government of Nigeria said Dr Adenuga was honoured for his immense contribution to the socio-economic development of Nigeria and the West African sub-region. “He worked very hard to establish Globacom which today provides hundreds of thousands of jobs in Nigeria, Ghana and Benin Republic. His company has also established footprints in Cote d’Ivoire, Senegal and The Gambia,” the then President, Goodluck Jonathan had said.

For a very successful man such as Tony Elumelu, time is money -so every minute counts. The Nigerian billionaire and Chairman of Heirs Holdings Ltd, Elumelu, was spotted working while on a journey in his luxury private jet.

He shared this on his social media page.

Hard at work signing the certificates for our 1000 2016 Class of Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurs who will be arriving Lagos in less than 24 hours ahead of this year's Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Forum. This Forum has grown to become the largest gathering of African entrepreneurs and supporting stakeholders including investors, media, business leaders and policy makers. I am proud of the TEF team for their dedication and commitment to hosting a world class event every year. I can't wait to meet this year's outstanding entrepreneurs from 54 African countries. Long live African entrepreneurship!

According to the information shared by human rights activist and lawyer Inibehe Effiong,Lai Mohammed yesterday flew to Delta state in a private jet despite President Buhari banning his Ministers from flying a business class.Below is what he wrote and see how Nigerians reacted above....

'I understand the Minister of Information, Aljahi Lai Mohammed travelled in a private aircraft to Asaba, Delta State yesterday. President Buhari is said to have banned his Ministers from flying in a Business Class.

If government appointees are banned from using Business Class, why should a Minister be using a private jet? Who paid for it?

The President should query Mr. Mohammed. If it is discovered that public funds was used to for this extravagance, sanctions should follow starting from a refund of the amount spent.

However, let me say this clearly:

The above statement is not intended to pacify those who are aggrieved by my earlier post about the Governor of Akwa Ibom State. It is utter nonsense for anyone to insinuate that I deliberately closed my eyes to Lai Mohammed's profligacy while deprecating Mr. Udom Emmanuel's ostentatious lifestyle because of partisanship. That is false and highly nonsensical.

This photo of Lai Mohammed was only brought to my attention after I posted that of the governor of Akwa Ibom State. I could not have ignored what I never knew about. I challenge anyone to prove that I had notice of it prior to my critical post on Udom Emmanuel.

The tendency by some people to always cite a wrong in their attempt to justify or excuse another wrong is not only fallacious but duplicitous. The wrongful action of Alhaji Lai Mohammed is neither a justification nor a defence to the wrongful action of Udom Emmanuel'

9jagistlive.com’s boss, Babatunde Oyebode has allegedly confessed to swindling and extorting  high profile Nigerians via blackmail, LIB reports.

The suspected fraudster was picked by men of the Special Fraud Unit (SFU) in Lagos, on Monday following various petitions from some of his victims for demanding exorbitant sums of money in order to pull down negative articles and comments about them as well as resorting to threats and blackmail.

Oyebade who is based outside Nigeria and mainly responsible for the upgrade of the site, runs the blog in partnership with another lady. He allegedly made a video of confession to the police where he admitted to putting up scandalous posts and extorting money and other favours by blackmailing his victims. The payments were usually made via Paypal.

A third attempt to extort money from a Lagos businessman was his undoing as he was arrested whilst trying to pick up the money paid into his Nigerian bank account. He had previously received payments running into thousands of dollars from the said man but was not quite done and continued to demand more, resorting to threatening the victim that he would put up more scandalous stories on his blog if he didn’t cough out cash.

According to LIB, email correspondence between the suspect and his accomplices revealed conversations about receiving various payments made by victims to take down posts and comments as well as  price plans for any removal. Damning voice notes were also found on his phone.

Oyebade’s girlfriend is said to be in on the whole arrangement and has been in touch with the other culprits via his Instagram account since his arrest on Monday.

In some of the chats the investigators came across, she revealed she just found out about her boyfriend’s arrest and was on the look out for the way forward. The police is currently on her trail, seeking her arrest too.

Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo, faces a two-year jail term having been fingered in a bribery scandal while he was playing in Spain with Granada.

Spanish publication, Marca, reports that the provincial district attorney’s office of Granada has requested a two-year prison term and a fine of 3,000 Euros for Ighalo, his ex-Granada teammate, Diego Buonanotte, and 93 others for allegedly bribing their way to pass a driving test.

According to the provisional writing of the prosecution, in 2012 and 2013 someone was hired to write the exams for Ighalo and the other accused.

After the test was written, the errors made on the sheet were deleted.
Investigation further revealed that three syndicates of Íllora (Granada), Mengíbar (Jaén) and Ciudad Real who moved to Granada allegedly recruited students to help write exams for clients who wanted to pass the driving license exams, and were charged between 1,500 and 2,500 Euros.

Following the incident, the prosecutor found the Super Eagles striker culpable of the crime of falsifying an official document.

Meanwhile, as is the practice, Ighalo may be dragged to appear in court to testify in Granada if an open trial is to be held.

Earlier in the week, another former Super Eagles World Cup star, Efetobore Sodje, and three of his brothers, Bright, 50; Samuel, 37; and Stephen, 42; were also summoned to appear at the Westminster Magistrates Court on November 16 to answer fraud charges.

Kaffy in a video footage has blasted Davido for sacking his dancers minutes before his stage performance at 3thrones concert on Sunday.

Read her rant below...

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!
It's alright if artiste don't need us . We are artistes ourselves . It is very disrespectful for you to look down at and trample on people who in one way or the other contribute to where u are today. Dance is our widows mite to a lot of your careers . All u need to do is respect us.

Even other people under you suffer ur arrogance from stylist to band men.
This message is for those of you that disrespectfully disregard us dancers especially.
@davidoofficial if u don't want dancers express it way before U agree to allow them dance than when u about to climb the stage u decide u don't need us again.or tell dancers not to come near u while u perform .wtf.

It's not ur fault we have learnt our lesson and we thank arrogant artiste like u as this will not continue for long.

Nowadays artiste take a piss. People pay a lot of money to see u come out and give a good show it requires more than u jumping all over the place with no content . Even some artiste in other countries who perform alone still plan their craft. They practice they rehearse the Are never tired of doing better than their last. But here most don't care only few like @peterpsquare and @rudeboypsquare @2niteflavour @tiwasavage @efya_nokturnal @iamseyishay @dareydarey even @jidenna a one man performer plans his craft for his fans. (This is to mention a few out of the few) to those who still respect our craft.

Nollywood actress and TV presenter, Doris Simeon looked stunning on the red carpet at the movie premiere of 'The Grudge' on Sunday.
